The End of the summer brought drier weather and better soaring conditions, allowing some of our our members to achieve their flying goals for the season.

On Sept 16, the father and son team of, Jan and Robert Zachemski had a great day. Robert successfully completed his 5 hr flight, a first step towards his Silver badge while Jan did his 50km x-country flight to Tillsonburg.

And to top it off, we also had a first solo. On Sept 17, Sheryl made her first solo flight in one of club's ASK-21's.The pictures of the celebration, including an unconventional baptism are on Kareem's flickr site and here is the video of her landing on YouTube.
