C-FAOS has arrived at SOSA. It is a completely re-finished LS4 that comes equipped with a CAI302 flight computer, a CAI303 digital display, and an ATR720 radio.

Once the paperwork is complete the glider will be ready to fly. After high winds grounded everyone on Saturday, instructors and students braved challenging field conditions Sunday to get their first crack at the K-21s. Over 20 flights were completed including some soaring in the afternoon. Then…as you all know the snow hit and the lovely spring landscape Sunday was transformed into a winter wonderland on Monday. Lets hope the field dries out for the great weather that is predicted for the long weekend.
After finally getting all the paper work sorted and waiting for a break in the weather a small number of members gathered at SOSA Thursday night to get the K-21s airborne. Dave Springford had the honour of the first flight in FUYE. After an exhilarating flight he was more than happy to fly with others waiting eagerly to fly the ASK-21s. Luke, John, Scott and Tom all got a chance to fly the new birds. That means we have four instructors ready to do check-outs with other instructors. Everyone was impressed by how easy the 21s are to fly and it was unanimous they will make great trainers.
