Last Sunday at around lunchtime some local farmers had organized a regular trip around the area riding their antique tractors. Headed by Wally Ford they started out at the Shef's Grill for breakfast and rode their handsome chariots visiting local sights such as the Yee Haw farms and the African Lion Safari.

The last stop on the trip was to pay a visit to SOSA, the first such visit in the history of the Rockton Antique Tractor Club. SOSA entertained the locals with donuts and drinks on the sunny and hot afternoon. The tractors steamed off along the verge of runway 21 led by Herrie TenCate riding shotgun with one of the beasts.

Having toured around SOSA, the farmers were offered a ride in one of our gliders. Russell was the only brave soul and he and his pilot Paul Fish thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.

Dave didn't mind at all when one of the toughest tractors balanced carefully on his wing and traveled it's length.

Congratulations to our three new solos and a 50K pilots in the last couple of weeks.

Our new solo pilots are Sean Wilkinson; Mark Luscher and Tommy Fodor. Congrats guys!

Glenn Barrett started on his 50K to York, but did not stop there and ended up coming back to SOSA for a total of 142K! Here is his flight trace from OLC.

Canadian National Soaring Competition was held at SOSA from June 29 to July 8.
