During the Fall work weekend, we presented the 2013 awards, as recognition for significant flights and contributions to our club. Here are the award winners for this season:

Awarded to the SOSA Instructor of the year- Ray Wood
KEN LARMOUR AWARD
Awarded to a first year flying member who made a significant contribution to the club- Gary Baker
THE JUNIOR TROPHY
Awarded to the most cumulative distance flying the Junior - Thomas Butts 692 km
THE DOUG WINGER 500
Awarded for the fastest 500 km triangle flown from SOSA - no 500 km triangle in 2013
SOSA FLIGHT ACHIEVEMENT TROPHY
Awarded for a significant flight by a SOSA pilot (anywhere) - Luke Szczepaniak 1178 km @ 141 km/h
THE ROYAL CROWN COLA SOARING TROPHY
Awarded for the best flight by a Silver Badge Pilot (anywhere) - Thomas Butts 342 km
DOUGLAS C. WINGER MEMORIAL TROPHY
Awarded for a significant contribution by a Tow Pilot - Jorge Ardila

Awarded for a significant contribution to the non-flying operation at SOSA - Simulator team - Tommy Fodor, John Gooch and Mark Lusher
